Fortunes In Pencil
“Have no fear in perfection – you’ll never reach it.”
It was said to me at a time when I needed reminding. I drew it for myself first, as something to look at every day, something grounding and encouraging. From there, the series grew.
Each piece in the series features a hand-drawn fortune cookie quote designed to inspire, reassure, or make you smile. They are small reminders of shared human experience, the words that quietly push us forward. Made to live in the spaces you see every day, these works are meant to motivate, comfort, and connect.
But the series is also playful. Each piece carries the same feeling as the moment before opening a fortune cookie - that brief pause, the curiosity, the childlike excitement of the unknown. When you purchase a piece, you won’t know which edition you’ll receive until it arrives at your door. There are currently ten possible quotes, a small element of chance, like a fortune itself.

What happens when I order?
Each edition is a surprise – you won’t know which quote you’ve got until it arrives at your door. Ordering multiple editions? Each artwork will feature a different quote. Don't worry, you wont get two of the same!
